Cavity Wall Ties – Type 2 and Type 3 are designed for use in low-rise construction, providing reliable structural connection between masonry leaves in cavity wall systems. They are suitable for applications where both leaves are of similar thickness and standard movement conditions are expected.
These ties ensure stability, load transfer, and proper alignment between wall leaves in residential and light commercial construction.
Application Suitability
Suitable for domestic dwellings and small commercial buildings
Recommended for structures up to 1 metre above ground level (as applicable by design conditions)
Used in cavity walls consisting of two masonry leaves of similar thickness
Typical blockwork thickness range: 90 mm to 150 mm
