Partition Top Anchor -Channel

Anchor

PTA-C Partition Top Anchor (Channel Type) is designed to provide lateral restraint at the top of masonry partition walls while allowing controlled vertical movement of the structure above. This system accommodates slab deflection and thermal expansion without transferring compressive loads to the masonry below, helping to prevent cracking and structural distress.

The anchor is fixed to the concrete or steel structure, with a neoprene sponge or other compressible filler installed between the structure and masonry. This allows safe vertical expansion and contraction while maintaining stability.

Function

  • Provides lateral restraint at partition wall head

  • Allows vertical movement due to slab deflection and thermal effects

  • Prevents transfer of vertical loads to masonry

  • Reduces risk of cracking at wall junctions

  • Ensures flexible and durable wall-to-structure connection

Material Options

  • Pre-Galvanized Steel

  • Hot Dip Galvanized Steel

  • Stainless Steel
